$63,998.02 - $67,523.65 Gross per annum (includes Industry Allowance) + Superannuation + Annual Leave

About the Opportunity

This position is a key role in the Portland Parks and Gardens team where a high standard of presentation and service level is required. Activities included are hand mowing, edging, whipper snipping, weeding, spraying and litter control of parks and open spaces including the Foreshore, All Abilities Play Space, Bentinck Street Lawns, Ploughed Field, and the new Foreshore Footpaths from Henty Beach to Maretimo. Some maintenance works assisting upkeep of the Botanic Gardens and street tree maintenance is also required. Other duties may include front deck and ride on mower operation and assisting with preparations for community events.

What you need to Thrive

  • Ability to coordinate and undertake day to day gardening services at various public open space and CBD locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone and in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to the workplace.
  • A positive outlook and team approach.
  • Ability to be proactive and identify issues relating to the requirement for setting a high service standard.
