  • Roster includes working 2 in 4 weekends

We currently have an opportunity for a confident, positive and enthusiastic, experienced Trade Keeper to join the Wild Sea Precinct.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  •  Marine mammal keeping experience
  •  Marine mammal training and enrichment experience
  •  Fish and invertebrate keeping experience
  •  Experience with Aquatic Life Support Systems
  •  The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  •  Knowledge of Zoos Victoria's vision and values
  •  A strong focus on safety
  •  Strong problem solving skills
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly regarded experience:

  • An open water scuba diving certificate
  • Husbandry experience with ungulates, carnivores and aquatic animals.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical to ensure the inherent requirements of the role are met as well as a willingness to participate in additional training as required.
